Rudd's 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Crossroads consists of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Merlot and was aged primarily in French oak barrels (34% new) and 4% in amphoras. Deep garnet purple in color, it rolls out of the glass with notions of baked black cherries, boysenberries and warm cassis with hints of tar, tobacco and bay leaves. The palate is full of juicy black fruits with a soft texture and lots of freshness, ending with a lively herbal note.
